Care & Prayer
If you or someone you know needs support and prayer, we have many trained volunteers in our new "Caring Ministry" who are available to you. Our trained volunteers can make hospital visits to those going into surgery or recovering from surgery, going through long term treatment or chronic pain or maybe just need a word of encouragement with a life transition. For those wishing to volunteer to be a part of this ministry please contact Paula Ledbetter at email@example.com.
If you or a family member needs care or prayer, we have several ways to assist. First,
if you would like for us to include your name on our weekly bulletin prayer list please contact our church office, firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we do need to have permission from the person listed in order to have their name listed publicly. Secondly, if you need immediate prayer for a sudden illness, job interview, or some other crisis, please contact our prayer chain at email@example.com. Finally, if you or someone you know needs tangible evidence of God's love and comfort, and you'd like to give them one of our prayer blankets that have been prayerfully handmade,
please contact our Travis' Treasures Prayer Blanket Ministry leader, Hedi Fenn, firstname.lastname@example.org. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to pray about everything. Let us take our burdens and joys to the Lord in prayer!
New Session begins in September
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through
one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. Contact Ben Burnside if you have any questions, email@example.com
If you have experieced a major change in your life like job loss, dealing with long term illness, death, divorce or strain in family relationships we can appoint a Stephen Minister to work alongside you as you seek the stability of Jesus' love and grace. A Stephen Minister is someone who can meet with you individually, CONFIDENTIALLY and gender specific to listen and offer you support. Stephen Ministers are not counselors, but trained to be companions for those in difficult situations. If you are interested in being a Stephen Minister or having one appointed to you please contact Paula to learn more, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Travis' Treasures (A prayer blanket ministry)
This ministry, started by a family in our congregation in memory of their
son, provides warmth and comfort to those who are seriously ill, tramatized, hospitalized or homebound through the gift of new, homemade blankets that are lovingly created
by our volunteer "blanketeers". The blanket recipients are prayed for by the volunteer "blanketeers", our Pastors, and our prayer team. If you would like to help make blankets and/or pray for those who would receive the blankets please contact
Heidi Fenn, email@example.com. Join us in Rm 146/148 on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11:15-11:30am for prayer. Our volunteer "blanketeers" make blankets on their own time.
Prayer and Pastoral Visits
In Colossians 4:2 the scripture says, "devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it
with thanksgiving." We can go to the Lord to pray about anything and God invites us
to come to Him. Please share with us what is on your heart so that we can devote ourselves in prayer on your behalf. If you are having surgery or are in the hospital please email Pastor Ben, firstname.lastname@example.org to have someone come pray with you.
Monday Morning Prayer Time
Start your week off right! Join a small group of us in the Music Suite (enter doors
under the steeple) at 8am each Monday morning for a time of prayer.
